It’s no secret that “green” systems keep us healthier and help maintain our planet’s valuable resources. Lankford | Fendler + associates has been incorporating sustainable solutions into our designs since we opened our doors in 1993. In fact, our office at 1730 Walnut in downtown Kansas City is a shining example of our own efforts to build green.
Underfloor air systems, ambient daylighting controls, waterless urinals, and recycled building materials are a few of the methods we’ve used to create an efficiently run facility and reduce waste.

We’ve designed our office space utilizing green materials and methods. Sustainable features include:
Low flow toilets, waterless urinal and hands free faucets saves in excess of 25,000 gallons of water per year.
On-site recycling program including aluminum, cardboard and paper.
Incorporating all of these state of the art systems into a 100 year old building results in a showcase of old and new side by side. The building has been designed to LEED certification standards.
